Automotive News 2012-Automotive company from India, Bajaj Auto, today unveiled its first four-wheeled vehicles.
Vehicle named "RE60" was introduced in New Delhi. The price has not been announced except Bajaj stated that vehicles are very fuel efficient and low CO2 emissions.
"We are from Bajaj Auto confident that the population of Earth has the right vehicle for better and faster," said Rajiv Bajaj, the company officials. Bajaj is famous for the production of two-wheeled motorcycles and trikes.
Cars with engine capacity of 200cc it would be a rival to world's cheapest car, also from India, Tata Nano.
RE60 can spend 1 liter of fuel for 35 miles and only generates 60 grams of CO2/km.
"Emissions is only half of small vehicles on the market," said the Bajaj.
The main target marketing four-wheeled vehicles that are three-wheeled bajaj drivers and the general public.
RE60 has a maximum speed of 70 km / h and weighs only 400 kg. Bajaj said the vehicle was designed specifically for urban communities.
His rival, Tata Nano is launched since 2009 is sold at prices starting at 140,880 rupees.
